Welcome, Olivier Fabri!

Could you provide us with a brief overview of your career so far?

I have over 35 years of experience in the banking sector, with 30 years in private banking. I worked in Belgium for Nagelmackers Bank and then for the former Paribas Bank as Head of Private Banking for the province of Liège.

In 2001, I joined the CA Indosuez group in Belgium, and in 2002, I moved to Luxembourg as a Senior Wealth Manager. Eventually, I was appointed Head of Wealth Management for the Benelux region.

What is your motto for professional success? And what values do you find important in your professional life?

Professional success is a very subjective concept. I think the most important thing is to remain true to yourself.

The values I hold dear are reliability, building trust and earning trust, and the desire for self-improvement. Being kind to one another creates motivated people around you, and it simply makes life more enjoyable.

Why did you choose Orea Capital?

After a 23-year career at a large banking institution, I felt it was time for a new challenge. However, I didn’t want a typical “copy/paste” experience. The choice for Orea Capital came very organically and naturally: I love their dynamism, their human approach, the very professional management team, and of course their distinctive service offerings to wealthy clients.

What do you do to unwind after a busy workday or workweek?

Whenever I get the chance, I play a round of golf, but above all, I spend time with friends and family. My wife and I are proud parents of two daughters.

Would you like to share a vacation tip or a book recommendation with us?

Try Portugal; you'll fall in love with it instantly!

My book recommendation is “Les Enfants du désastre,” a historical trilogy by the French author Pierre Lemaitre that highlights the aftermath of World War I. The book provides sharp insights into the human soul and French society of the 20th century.

Thank you, Olivier. Wishing you much success at Orea Capital!
